The development of Etrog’s “hinges” style into his steel constructions allowed him to create his most monumental piece, Powersoul.
This 10-meters-tall sculpture, which was commissioned in celebration of the 1988 Summer Olympics games, does not have a pedestal, but rather is positioned directly on the ground. Powersoul consists of flat forms, sheets that were assembled to create monumentalism through clear geometric simplicity.
